  13. I just installed a USR Sportster Vi w/voice in my PC using win95.  I 
  14. had a similar thing happen to me when I tried to use the .inf file from 
  15. USR's web site.  As it turns out I THINK the problem is in the .inf 
  16. file.  I went to USR's ftp site and downloaded another copy of the .inf 
  17. file and everything worked fine.  As near as I can tell the first .inf 
  18. file has a bunch of CR-LFs that shouldn't have been there.  I would 
  19. guess that the first time you were successful you were using the 
  20. original .inf file that came as part of win95.  You should be able to get 
  21. a "good" .inf file via ftp or from their BBS.  If not, I can email you 
  22. the .inf files that I have. I think the file you want is MDMUSRVI.INF.
